Business: Finance and Accounting Solutions.

Friday, November 14th, 2008

What solutions are there for Finance and Accounting in business? Some businesses choose to have a full staff in their accounting department, and others choose to take a different route. This route is a great avenue for opening new, more flexible jobs. This avenue includes utilizing outside services through F-A Outsourcing for their accounting and finance needs. Many accounting firms can use this concept to offer more jobs, and increase sales while keeping down the cost of hiring new staff. The technology of this era has afforded many individuals the opportunity to work from home for these outsource vendors. I feel to outsource offers a wonderful service for any company who wants a better, bigger support system, and customer care.  Many individuals in need of a job are experts in j2ee and other high tech programs.

One Reason to have a Car Accident Lawyer

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Unfortunately there are times whenever accidents happen. It isn’t like you want to have them happen, they just do. When you find yourself in that situation, whether you are at fault or not, you want to make sure that you have a good car accident lawyer by your side. The main reason that this is the case is because you are probably going to be facing someone that will have their own lawyer in their corner. Unless you are good at defending yourself in a court of law against attorneys that are willing to cut you to pieces, it’s best if you have your own legal counsel.

Customer service is part of the package

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Even before the current credit crunch and its effect on business in the United States and across the World, many companies both national and international, were heading slightly in the wrong direction as far as staff training was concerned. They traditionally placed too much emphasis on product knowledge, systems knowledge, and most important of all, on closing a sale.

After sales service was less of a priority for many companies who believed that their product was so much in demand that it didn’t really matter if the customer had to wait a little too long for something that they had ordered. When the customer called to ask about the status of their order, they couldn’t find the time to talk to them, and instead fobbed them off to some poorly trained and disinterested sales clerk. These “smart” sales people had no idea of the damage they were causing to themselves and their company.

Nowadays the realization is sinking in, sometimes too late, and more and more companies are placing an emphasis in investing on customer service training than ever before.

Wondering About Process Mapping

I’m thinking we can improve efficiency using business mapping methods.
So I’ve been poking around the Internet reading up on Business Process Mapping Tools to get a better idea about it.
Normally I prefer a more flexible approach, but it’s clear we need more organization here.
Ok - that’s it for today.

Talk about neighborhood watch…

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Some new neighbours moved into the house adjoining ours a few days ago. Seemed like a nice, typical American family, from outside appearances at least. When we eventually went over to welcome them, the conversation got around to what they do for a living. When they told us that they were both private investigators, my wife and I were surprised. They told us that they had met while they were both working at one of the biggest private investigators in Chicago, gotten married and had just been transferred to work in their company’s branch in Baltimore. Their areas of expertise was computer fraud investigations, and particularly carrying out background checks on the character of individuals or companies, usually on behalf of banks, insurance companies and large corporations. As we wished them good luck in their new home and their new challenge, I said to myself “Well, that’s original.”
