Employees Involvement in Software Purchase Decisions

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Involvement of all employees in the implementation of Oracle erp software is essential. When all opinions are taken into consideration, the process benefits with views from diverse quarters. However, to make sure that all views and criticisms are taken into consideration, it would be important to form an ERP implementation committee. The committee is the one which will analyze all comments and suggestions and decide on the concrete steps which will be taken in ERP software implementation. For the committee to be effective, it should be empowered to make decisions that are binding on the organization.

Secure Your Home With Surveillance Equipment

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

One of the best things about having an ex-military professional as your next-door neighbor is the comfort you get knowing he’ll be on the watch whenever you ask. Although I haven’t had to use his services on more than a couple of occasions, one of the times I did paid off. With all respect to my neighbor, he is a tad on the anxious side and a complete safety freak. He has Home Surveillance Equipment wrapped around his house like a blanket; which is exactly how he knew something was up one night while we were gone. To make a long story short, he noticed activity on his cameras and went out to ‘investigate.’ The men promptly left.

Women Go Bald Too!

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

We see it everyday in our society, men going bald. We see it on television, even sketch comedy like Seinfeld makes fun of the character George who’s obsessed with his balding problem. What many don’t realize is that women go bald too! The only difference is that women have many ways to hide it that don’t really work with men. Wigs, hats, extensions, even having more hair to flip and hairspray over any bold spots! hypothyroid hair loss is the leading cause and it can be countered if you realize how important the thyroid is to your hair. The thyroid actually does more than keep you healthy, it manages chemicals that your hair needs to keep the follicles healthy too!

Ozone and Satellite Mapping

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Ozone is a naturally occurring form of oxygen found high in the Earth’s atmosphere. It acts as a protective shield to life on Earth by absorbing most of the sun’s cancer-causing ultraviolet radiation. The last satellite to carry a TOMS instrument, the Russian Meteor-3 satellite, completed its mission in December 2004. It also too some images showing satellite maps of all areas.

TRW Space & Electronics Group built the 650-pound (295 kilograms) satellite and integrated the TOMS instrument, built by Orbital Sciences Corp., Dulles, Va., for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md. The high resolution TOMS instrument will measure total columnar ozone, the amount of ozone found in a column of air extending from the Earth’s surface to the top of the atmosphere.

It measures total ozone by observing both incoming solar energy and backscattered ultraviolet radiation at six wavelengths. Backscattered radiation is solar radiation that has penetrated the Earth’s lower atmosphere and been reflected by air molecules and clouds back through the stratosphere to the satellite sensors.

Standout Phones for Use with Voice Over IP

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

It is a great time to be a voice over IP user, with many great phones coming out for use with the popular type of phone service. The best phones for voice over IP include the Dect cordless voip phone, which can be used with the popular VOIP program, Skype. This phone can use your Skype phonebook entries and has very good battery life. The Globarange phone by Panasonic is similarly outstanding, with full functionality for voice over IP through a router or your computer itself. Both phones also work with land lines, in case you are not sure if you want to use voice over IP or not.

Looking Into Electron Microscopy

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

I’ve been curious lately about
electron microscopy. It’s been a pain to get the info I need, though.
I’ve read a lot online about
Who Invented The Electron Microscope, but I seem to be more confused than ever, now. There’s so much conflicting data out there.
I think our school could benefit greatly from having an electron microscope available for our students, but they are so expensive - not just to purchase, but to maintain. So I need good, accurate information.
Hopefully I’ll make the right decision. I’m going to have to make up my mind at some point.
Maybe your comments will help settle it.

An Important Resource For Businesses

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

The largest crime and fraud threat for business today comes from the inside - the possibility that employees are siphoning profits, stealing, or defrauding the company in some other way. The field of computer forensics has grown quickly in the past years in response to this threat. A computer forensics investigator or investigative team will use the data stored on computer systems to track the movement and recording of data, check for irregular activity, analyze the flow of funds and data, and otherwise reconstruct what has happened in that business in the past. The investigation very often leads to legal action.

Online Training vs Cisco Boot Camps

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Online traing can be great at times. When you consider the time involved in attending a traditional learning center it can be a real benefit. But there are times when attending one of the cisco boot camps for your certification is really a much better way to go. The reason for this is that by participating in such courses you will actually be able to get some hands on training which is not always possible when you do your training online. Now if you are already working with the systems you are studying to get certified for online would probably be the best solution for you.

Thoughts On The World’s Best Gaming Motherboards

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

In my quest to build the ultimate gaming PC, I’ve been researching the World’s Best Gaming Motherboards.
I’ve been taking a particularly close look at the Intel X48 Express chipset. That is one serious piece of gaming hardware. It might be just the thing for my new setup.
I can’t wait for the LAN party next week. They’re going to be quaking in their boots!
Gotta Run for now. More later.
