The Responsibilities of a Disability Claims Assessor

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

You are a disability claims assessor. You are either somebody’s hero, or somebody’s enemy. There is no in between in this line of work. As a claim assessor focusing on disability claims, your responsibility is to review, underwrite, manage and assess the claim. If you find this claim to be legitimate with all of the prudent information attached, including signed medical documents from physicians who claim that their patient will be disabled long term, and then you have a decision to make. After you have assessed the claim and made a report of your findings, you can make the recommendation to social security to either accept or deny this persons claim and the reasons that support which decision you have made. If you accept the claim, the government still has the option to overrule your decision.

The future of Pharmacy Careers

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

In the coming decades, pharmacists are expected to become more integral within the health care system. Rather than simply dispensing medication, pharmacists will be paid for their patient care skills. This shift has already commenced in some countries; for instance, pharmacists in Australia receive remuneration from the Australian Government for conducting comprehensive Home Medicines Reviews. In the United Kingdom, pharmacists (and nurses) who undertake additional training are obtaining prescribing rights. They are also being paid for by the government for medicine use reviews. In the United States, pharmaceutical care or Clinical pharmacy has had an evolving influence on the practice of pharmacy. Moreover, the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree is now required before entering practice and many pharmacists now complete one or two years of residency or fellowship training following graduation to further their pharmacy careers. In addition, consultant pharmacists, who traditionally operated primarily in nursing homes are now expanding into direct consultation with patients, under the banner of “senior care pharmacy”.

Medication for Acid Reflux Disease

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

There are a number of acid reflux disease medications which are available nowadays. Ranging from over-the-counter drugs to prescription drugs, there is something for every kind of acid reflux. People generally use antacids and the like for lighter bouts of acid reflux while they go for prescribed drugs from doctors for intense cases of the same. But the aspect which most people do not understand is that it is very dangerous to take drugs without proper consultation of the doctor. What most people do is that they take over-the-counter drugs for the ailment and then do it again if the problem recurs. This is very dangerous because there are many side-effects of consuming drugs without proper consultation.

Spa Treatments at the Salon

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

Differences in the services that salons and spas offer may be determined by the type of equipment the establishment has purchased. Many salons these days are offering the same type of services that day spas have offered for years. The reason is that they are able to purchase some of the equipment found in the day spa. For those salons that are choosing to provide spa services they may choose to purchase products such as used glass manicure tables and used hair salon furniture to cutback on costs. This may allow the salon to provide more spa treatments for their customers. When this is the case many customers may choose to spend the day at the salon instead of the spa.

Exploring the Benefits of Saunas and Spas

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

When people talk about the benefits of sauna time, most are focused on the effectiveness of steamroom vs. infrared saunas. A few people know about how saunas can make social encounters more interesting, expecially in mixed company. If you’ve never been to a mixte sauna in Paris, though, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Clothing is not considered proper etiquette in mixte saunas, and most people don’t go to these steambath saunas with their husbands or wives. And I’ve heard rumors about what goes on in sauna buildings in Putten, Netherlands, but, they are only rumors. Since I’ve never been there, I don’t like to say for sure, but I think they must rival Paris in their unique sense of sauna etiquette. There may be benefits of sauna on your social life, but I’m thinking they could be bad for your marriage!

Salon Chair for Quality

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

So you’ve decided to go for used rather than new for that salon chair you need? That is sometimes a very good decision, although a lot of it depends on the particular chair which you buy. A used salon chair is no good if you end up having to buy another chair in a short amount of time. Salon chairs are not cheap, so even a used chair has to be of good quality. Make sure to check for signs of abuse when you do a quality check, and make sure all functions still work, such as raising and lowering the chair. Finally, sit in the chair and make sure it is comfortable and works as it should from a customer’s standpoint.

The new guy.

Monday, December 1st, 2008

As the actual pedicure began I realized how incredibly comfortable this Esthetician Chair really was. I wish I could put one of these things in front of my TV to go home to every night. She was very professional too. She did not hurt me one bit. I told her that I would recommend her to anyone. She was very pleased. So now it is time for the next on the list. I once again closed my eyes and clicked on one. The next one that I picked was a male. Hmm this should be interesting! I could not wait to see what this one was like.

When a Headache Becomes Severe

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

I have had a lot of headaches in my lifetime, some of them mild and some of them quite severe. In the case of a Sever Headache, I always make sure that it is not being caused by something that needs immediate attention. Severe headaches are not normal and as a matter of fact, no headache should be considered as being normal. Taking medication is only a way of treating the symptoms but you’re going to need to find out what is at the root of the problem in order for you to consistently treat it and to get rid of it permanently.

How to Construct a Steam Room

Monday, November 17th, 2008

There is more to meets the eye when you are considering building a steam room.  You must make sure that the wiring you use is safe, because misty water has a way of fouling up electronics.  To Build a Sauna, you need to think of it as building a regular room.  The only difference is, it will have a heating element, and it will be constructed of wood inside.  As long as you have some god cedar for the interior, and a good sealing system to keep the heat inside, you should be able to build a successful sauna in no time at all.
