Long term care needs to be viewed sensibly

Most people are very reluctant to discuss long term care as far as their elderly family members are concerned. There is great deal of embarrassment in discussing these issues with senior family members, in case of causing offence. However it is sensible to discuss a viable solution to the long term care which is required. To save money, several families choose to look after the old person at home not realizing that it takes a toll on the caregiver within the family and worse still the patient suffers if the care is slipshod and the incorrect treatment is given by mistake. It is difficult to monitor an in house patient.
